Discussions with High School Students

The Helsinki Committee, within the project Helsinki Committee for Youth, organized a series of three discussions with high school students on topics that are close to them.

In our first discussion, political scientist and founder of the Human Rights Olympiad, Dagmar Horná, spoke about how to be active alongside high school studies while also being a benefit to society. The voices of young people are important in society, and we should pay more attention to them.

In the second discussion, the founder of Dasato Academy (I AMbitious), Terézia Dominika Lukáčová, talked about how to be an engaged young person and work on meaningful projects. Students were presented with a wide range of online and offline educational activities and projects that they can get involved in during their studies.

In the third discussion, political scientist Dagmar Kusá and journalist Tomáš Čorej talked with students about why young people should take an interest in local politics. Many students will have the opportunity to choose their representatives in the upcoming local elections.
