Helsinki Committee for Human Rights in Slovakia, in cooperation with BISLA university, organized on the 7th and 8th of October an educational event for high school teachers. The series of workshops offered the teachers of Civic education and related subjects an opportunity to supplement their knowledge.
The series of lectures and practical activities provided teachers with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the fields of human rights and democracy, as well as innovative teaching methods. The aims was to connect the teachers from different regions and transfer examples of good teaching practices.
It is necessary to always remind ourselves of the importance of democracy and human rights, and most importantly, to transfer these virtues to the younger generation. They are the future of our country and our world. The protection of human rights and fight for democracy are in the context of the war in Ukraine as urgent as they have not been since 1945.
The project is carried out in cooperation with the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic.
