The publication is primarily devoted to the analysis of various aspects of the right to education in the context of the application of other human rights. The right to education has a special position in the hierarchy of human rights. Education is a human right in itself and at the same time it is an irreplaceable means to exercise all other human rights. Pakistani schoolgirl Malala Yousafzai, whose story we introduced in our previous publication Selected Texts to Human Rights, is also very well aware of this. She has since been awarded the Noble Peace Prize for her contribution in fighting against the oppression of children and youth and for promoting the right to education for all children.
